Pure Silver Commemorative $20 Coins

In 2011 the Royal Canadian Mint decided to create a series of $20 face value pure silver coins which it would sell at face value. These have proven quite popular, with each of the 4 coins in the series selling out quickly. Two coins were released in both 2011 and 2012. 2011 saw the mintage of the five maple and canoe coins. 2012 saw the mintage of a polar bear and Queen's diamond jubilee coin.
